Water & Electric, what could go wrong?

Yes, the inevitable happened! I spilt water on my laptop about two weeks ago! I honestly thought it was fried, as I left it to dry out.
Then I asked Mr Google what to do, and he said to remove the battery and set it up so the water would drain out for two to three days.
So four days later, I plug it in, fingers crossed, hoping it will come to life. Did it heck!
It switched on, then a blank screen, then a poltergeist-like static screen. Switched it off again and left it, and decided I would have to leave it in somewhere after the new year, because there were photos on it (which is all I would want recovered), but after chatting with a fellow author friend, #MarilynPayne, I lifted the laptop and accidentally hit the power switch.
There were lights, it was thinking about it, and lo and behold, didn't it switch on and come to life! Whoop whoop!
Luckily, #DarknessReigns is saved on a flash drive, but I really didn't want the photos to disappear, so flash drives have been ordered, and they will be saved immediately, just in case.
Is the book finished? .............Hhhmmm nope. I know, I know. I kinda promised it would be before the New Year, but from Halloweenish time, I lost my mojo. But with some encouragement and accountability from writing friends, I am back on track and will begin to write the ending to my book, I am nearly there.
